Fancy trying something new this weekend? Then you might want to check out the all-new Pearse Lyons Distillery.
After years of work, the city's newest whiskey experience is set for its grand opening this Saturday, August 26. Having set up shop in a church that's been deconsecrated since 1964, owners Pearse and Deirdre Lyons have done major refurbishments to the building with new additions being a walkway through the outer graveyard and specially made stained-glass windows.
Those who attend the grand opening will get exclusive tastings of all four Pearse Irish Whiskeys: Pearse The Original, Pearse Distiller’s Choice, Pearse Founder’s Choice and, for one day only, the exclusive Pearse Cooper’s Select. Not only that, but visitors on the day will also receive a surprise signature cocktail from resident mixologist Conor Ryan along with the perfect whiskey food pairing.
Pearse Lyons Distillery is all about history of whiskey, the Liberties and the adjoining graveyard so members of the public will receive tours of the grounds from distillery storytellers, which the owners expect will attract up to 75,000 visitors a year.
Here's a taste of what to expect...
