Outdoor cinemas, live concerts, aerial dance classes, fashion shows and much more are taking place all over the city. The best part is that all of these events are free and if you’re anything like me then an event being free is as good an incentive as any. This night is not to be missed, it’s your chance to attend some wonderful events and venues that would normally cost you an arm and a leg.

Cult classics month is dedicated to celebrating some of the most beloved films of our time. A series of screenings playing all your favourites: Fight Club, Goodfellas and The Big Lebowski to name a few. You can expect complimentary snacks, gourmet pizza, a selection of craft beers and your favourite draft pints as well as themed novelty cocktails. We’re willing to bet White Russians will be rampant at The Big Lebowski screening but you know, that’s just like, our opinion man.

This is not a drill people, this is really happening. Not only are the legends that brought you Teenage Dirtbag still around but they’re still singing that song. They’re sticking to the classics and only playing their best-selling debut album. To top it all of, the gig is taking place on a Friday. A coincidence? We think not. Get ready to drink pints of Erdinger the size of your head at this event. There are plenty of prizes to be won by competing in ridiculous contests like who can carry the most steins (those enormous German beer glasses). You won’t go hungry either as the place is full of food stalls serving up traditional German food. The perfect place to head after work for a bratwurst and a beer!

Boxed off is a new one day festival focused on electronic music and audiovisual experiences. Hopefully it becomes an annual thing because it sounds like it’s going to be incredible. Some of the hottest and newest international EDM acts in the world right now are set to feature across the 4 stages. Apart from the music there are going to be plenty of art installations and live art performances for you to immerse yourself in.

The IFI screens the world’s best selection of documentaries every year and this year that includes 1 world premiere and 10 Irish premieres. There are plenty of special guests in attendance including the directors of several of these documentaries who will be sticking around after the screenings for Q&A sessions. This is definitely one for all the film buffs out there.

Not your typical festival. After a summer full of music, bbq and beer festivals that left us in recovery mode for days on end this is exactly what the doctor ordered. This is your chance to experiment with all the different kinds of fitness and holistic activities and find what suits you best. With live music, healthy food stalls, juice zones and laughing yoga this is sure to be a great day out.
