Not Enough Time In The Day? Here’s What Dubliners Said They’d Do With An Extra Hour

The old “didn't have time” excuse is a great one for getting out of everything from picking up the shopping on the way home to heading to that circuits class.

Sometimes, we honestly believe that if there were just a few more hours in the day, we'd be clean-eating, weight-lifting, office-winning beacons of good living.

Unfortunately, a new survey has found that it's really a load of... well, let's just say it's not true.

The EBS 'Big Survey Of Irish Time' asked more than 1,000 people what they would do if they had an extra hour – and instead of changing the world for the better, 19% of Dubliners said that they would use those precious 60 minutes to indulge in their hobbies, while a further 19% just wanted some 'me time'.

Surely ye can do better than that, lads?

On top of that, 13% chose sport and exercise and 15% wanted to spend some quality time with their partner or families.

Only a randy 4% would spent their extra hour in the sack, with 3% being unimaginative and choosing to 'do nothing'.

And there's still a few workaholics among us, as 2% claimed they would catch up on their professional duties.

Fair play and all... but we're kinda surprised that nobody said they'd spend the extra hour eating.

To find out when was the best time to meet for Irish home buyers, EBS surveyed just over 1,000 respondents from a nationally representative sample of the Irish population on the 15th August 2015.
