Christmas - a time of giving and sharing. This month Marvin.ie are encouraging all you lovely people to help them make a difference and donate for a great cause.
Between now and December 24th, the online takeaway delivery service will match every donation that comes in via their Give Away Scheme - euro for euro! When ordering, you can add a donation of €1, €2 or €5 to your order with all donations going towards providing a hot takeaway meal for a person experiencing homelessness.
Set up in 2016, this amazing scheme has spent €4,000 on 12 events that have helped over 675 people and there's no stopping them. Working in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Waterford Marvin.ie has joined forces with loads of incredible charities including St. Vincent De Paul, Dublin Simon, Hope in the Darkness and ICHH.
Marvin boss, James Galvin says,“We all see a takeaway meal as a treat but we often take it for granted, so the idea of the Christmas Give Away is to give those going through a tough time a chance to enjoy it as well.”“We have been both delighted and humbled by the amazing generosity shown by our customers to date: in 2018, 1.3% of you opted to make a donation. We hope that our pledge to match every Euro will encourage even more to contribute and allow us to help more charities in 2019,” he adds.
So it's safe to say this is an incredible scheme that brings smiles to many faces.
As it's Christmas, Marvin.ie are also giving you the chance to win 2x €50 Marvin Gold Cards - one for you and a friend! Now you can order your favourite takeaway on Marvin.ie and donate to a very worthy cause.
To be in with a chance of winning, make sure you watch our social channels very closely this December. Good luck!
