Very Sad News As Dublin Barista Loses Battle With Cancer

You might remember the campaign for Dublin barista Rashel who was fighting a tough battle with cancer. Her father asked for help and the Dublin coffee community (as well as the wider community) helped raise close to $50,000 to help Rashel and her family.

Sadly Rashel lost her battle with cancer yesterday and passed away. She was 28. 

There are always lovely tributes when people pass away, but in Rashel's case the heartwarming tributes couldn't be more accurate. She worked in The Fumbally, serving us all coffees on a daily basis. Anybody who ever had the joy to be served by her will remember her infectious smile and happy-go-lucky nature. 

Today is one of those moments that stops you in your tracks, and makes you wonder why horrible things like this have to happen to the best people in life. It just doesn't make any sense. 

The Dublin coffee community have been extremely supportive of Rashel, remembering her fondly today. It's truly a testament to Rashel's amazing personality that she was able to bring joy to so many people's lives.

Gone but certainly not forgotten. RIP
