Today FM Releases Statement Regarding Al Porter Allegations

Today FM has spoken to presenter Al Porter regarding an allegation made against him, The Journal reports. 

In a statement issued to the news website, the radio station said: "Today FM has spoken with Al Porter and his management team concerning these allegations.

"We take any comments of this nature extremely seriously. Likewise, we take the welfare of our presenters and staff extremely seriously.

"Today FM is not commenting any further at this time."

Al Porter is a popular comedian who presents the TV3 show Blind Date and joined Today FM as a presenter in January.
