Three Men Were Arrested In Dublin Airport Last Night In Connection With A Human Trafficking Investigation

It has been reported that three men have been arrested as part of an investigation into an international human trafficking network through Dublin Airport.

According to RTÉ, two of the three men arrested are Aer Lingus employees.

The three men, 28, 56 and 61, were arrested in the airport last night, and are being detained at both Ballymun and Coolock Garda stations.

The officers at the Garda National Immigration Bureau believe that this scam has been running for years, with up to 100 illegal immigrants a year potentially having been smuggled through the gates Dublin Airport.

In a recent statement, Aer Lingus said it is co-operating fully with Gardaí.

A spokesperson for the Dublin Airport Authority said the company has been in touch with the Garda National Immigration Bureau, and is also assisting Gardaí with further inquiries. No further comment has been made.
