There Are €220m Worth Of Vacant Sites Across Dublin Right Now

There are seventy properties worth €220m lying vacant around Dublin at the moment, according to latest reports.

Dublin City Council's vacant property register has revealed the extent of inactive sites in the area, at a time with the city is facing a housing crisis.

Seven of the properties on the list are owned by DCC, while may other are currently in the possession of NAMA.

However, the vast majority of the vacant sites are owned by property investment firms and have been left empty for decades.

From 2019, a new 3% levy will be introduced in respect of properties that have been empty for 12 months or more and are located in areas where additional housing is required.
