The ISPCC Has Warned About Fraudsters Collecting Money On Their Behalf

The ISPCC has issued a warning about fraudsters going door-to-door in Dublin and Meath, falsely claiming to be collecting money on their behalf. 

Residents in the Rush/Lusk, Portmarnock and Laytown areas have been targeted. 

In a statement, the ISPCC said they "do not know these people". 

"We have no record of them collecting on our behalf and never encourage cash collections at the door," they continued. 

"If you are approached at your home by someone who says they are fundraising for the ISPCC, please do not engage with them but ring the Gardai."

They added that people should pass on the warning to their elderly or vulnerable neighbours.
