Snow fell around Ireland yesterday, causing chaos for commuters as well as travellers at Dublin Airport.
Many passengers were forced to sleep on the floor overnight as flights were delayed and hundreds of people were affected.
Dublin Airport tweeted to say that it was ‘open and operational’ and advised people to check with their airlines before travelling.

They wrote, ‘Some airlines are experiencing delays to their flight schedules as a result of de-icing issues.
‘Passengers are advised to check with their airline for latest flight updates. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.’
This morning they added, ‘Dublin Airport is operating normally this morning. No weather related issues expected today. It's always best to check latest flight information with your airline before coming to the airport.’
The de-icing of planes yesterday caused knock-on delays and some cancellations, with many passengers sharing their frustration on Twitter.

People reportedly had to queue for hours to speak to an airline representative and were given little to no information on flight statuses.
The weather also led to treacherous driving conditions and Gardaí advised motorists 'to take account of local conditions and reduce your speed accordingly.'
