Over 600 Residents At This Dublin Apartment Block Have Been Banned From Doing AirBnB

Over 600 residents at Dublin's Spencer Dock have been banned from hosting AirBnB guests.

All those living at the complex were informed this week that they may no longer use their homes for short-term letting, with plans to take legal action against those who ignore the ban.

According to The Irish Times, Andrew Power of Indigo Property Management confirmed the ban and said that the prevalent use of AirBnB has caused anti-social behaviour in the development.

He revealed that security were regularly called in to deal with "rowdy guests" at weekends and the increased footfall had resulted in a “seriously negative impact on all residents in Spencer Dock by taking away their right to live in their homes in peace and quiet”.

The company also plans to roll out the ban to 30 other developments that it manages across Dublin.
