Here’s Your Very First Look Of The Brand New Luas Map

It seems like the Luas Cross City works began some time 40 years ago, but the wait is almost over for Dublin's newest tram. 

Yes, that's right - the diversions are almost over.

The new line is scheduled to be in operation by the end of 2017, with trial runs kicking off this summer. 

New maps of the planned routes are now currently being distributed, in order to allow future customers to become familiar with the new routes before riding, and therefore dismissing confusion. 

The new line will be connecting both the Green and Red Lines, running from Stephen’s Green to Broombridge, with an interchange at Abbey Street.

According to 98fm, the new O’Connell (GPO) stop is for passengers travelling north towards Broombridge, while those wanting to head to Stephen's Green or beyond will switch at the new Marlborough stop.

Most of the new stops will be located in the city centre in areas such as Trinity College, Marlborough Street and Parnell Street.

According to the designers of the cross city line, it will take 21 mins to travel from St Stephens Green to Cabra.
