There's been a serious knock-on effect at Dublin Airport after Gatwick Airport was completely shut down last night as a number of drones were spotted flying in the area.
Flights due to land at the airport in London have been diverted to other cities around Europe and several flights out of Dublin have also been affected.
Flights from Dublin to Gatwick that were due to take off this morning have still not left and passengers are being advised to check with their airline before travelling.

Gatwick Airport released a statement that said, ‘Following reports of two drones flying over the Gatwick Airport airfield at around 9pm, the airfield was closed from 21:03 Wednesday 19 December to 03:01 Thursday 20 December.
‘Unfortunately a further sighting of drones in the vicinity of the airport has forced the runway to be closed again from 03:45 as we investigate the sighting alongside Sussex Police.
‘We will update when we have suitable reassurance that it is appropriate to re-open the runway.’
They added, ‘Unfortunately, this has led to a number of flights being diverted to other airports while aircraft have also been unable to depart from Gatwick.’
