Dublin Fire Brigade has warned homeowners to be careful when shopping for Christmas lights this year.
The organisation took to Twitter to flag that EU Consumer Affairs had issued a warning over unbranded lights that are at risk of overheating and taking fire.

They might be cheap but it's always better to spend the extra few quid when it comes to electricals!
