Thousands Attend Dublin Protest Against Donald Trump’s Ireland Visit

Between 3,000 and 5,000 people are estimated to have attended a Dublin protest against Donald Trump’s visit to Ireland on Thursday evening. The Stand Up To Trump rally started out at the Garden of Remembrance in Parnell Square at 6pm yesterday and thousands turned out in support. Also in attendance was the infamous six-foot Trump baby balloon, which was brought over from London by a member of the campaign group Uplift, one of the many groups taking part in the rally. https://twitter.com/LouiseByrneNews/status/1136718213289521152 https://twitter.com/Ste_McDermott/status/1136677623487225856 Organisers were granted special permission to fly the blimp over Irish skies for the protest, which was attended by more than 40 campaign groups as well as several TDs.
