An 18-year-old has been shot in the leg after an incident in Darndale tonight.

Gardaí in Coolock are appealing for information following a shooting incident in Darndale which occured shortly before 10pm.

An 18-year-old man sustained an apparent gunshot wound to his leg. He was treated at the scene by Emergency Services personnel and removed by Ambulance to Beaumont Hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Gardaí are currently at the scene, no arrests have been made to date and enquiries are ongoing.
