A restaurant on Baggot Street has closed its doors after 36 years.
In a statement on Instagram today, Malaysian restaurant Langkawi announced they would be closing its doors as their premises is set to be taken over.
The team wrote: "This restaurant has been more than a business to us. It has been our family, our memories, and our second home.
"To have watched generations walk through our doors - celebrating milestones, sharing laughter, and becoming part of our extended family has been one of the greatest privileges of our lives."
They continued to say that they poured their hearts into 'every dish, every conversation, and every moment.'
"Though this chapter is closing, the memories and friendships will stay with us forever."
Customers have been sharing their heartbreak under the post, with one saying 'so sad to see this. Favourite restaurant ever, celebrated so many occasions there'.
"Thank you for all the lovely memories," wrote another.
One user commented: "The end of an era, I don't know what we're gonna do now."
