Take Back The City has announced that a rally will take place later today in response to what the group sees as 'barbarity' on the part of An Garda Síochána last night.
A number of activists were arrested and some hospitalised after being removed from a property on Frederick Street.
This evening's rally will begin at the same location at 5.30pm and a Facebook event description calls on the public to 'mobilise outside 34 North Frederick street - the scene of last night's barbarity - in solidarity with those who were arrested and assaulted.'
The event, titled 'Rally Against Garda/Landlord Alliance' also states 'We'll be taking to the roads, shutting down traffic in rush hour. We'll be making a clear statement that last night's disgusting actions cannot and will not be tolerated!'
