As you may have heard, College Green is closed to traffic today in order to facilitate a traffic-free trial in the area.
Between the hours of 7am and 7pm, Dubliners get to see first-hand how the area would look if it was only open to pedestrians and cyclists. The trial is taking place today as well as over the next two Sundays, with each day having a separate theme. Today's is Drawing in the City and visitors can expect to see interactive street art, 3D pavement illusions and face painters throughout the afternoon.
If you do fancy heading in, take note that Dublin Bus is diverting 21 of its routes because as we all know, College Green is one of the city's biggest hubs for public transport.
The route affected include the number 9, 16, 27, 15a/b and 83. For a full list of diversions, follow this link. It should be interesting to see how it all turns out.
