If you were to describe Ireland in a couple of words it's likely that wholesome would be thrown in there.
You know, "ah, sure wasn't it lovely" vibes.
Incase you're scrambling to find 'em, here are some of the most wholesome Irish moments of 2025:
Irish post-punk band Fontaines D.C. won Best Irish Album at the RTÉ Choice Music Prize ceremony back in but could not attend as they were on tour.
Instead, the group asked their friend and activist, Róisín El Cherif, to accept the award for them and to simply say, "Free Palestine".
El Cherif went on to recite "Enemy of the Sun," a powerful poem of resistance written by Palestinian poet, Samih al-Qasim.
The "Favourite" singers have been long-standing supporters of Palestine and constantly use their platform to speak out on the genocide - we love to see it!
Tissues at the ready for this one.

Is it really Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann without a surprise appearance from a famous face?
Ed Sheeran arrived down at the Fleadh in Wexford to play a surprise set at The Sky & The Ground pub.
He played several tracks including "Castle on the Hill" and "Nancy Mulligan", and was joined by local Irish bands like Amble, Biird, Beoga for traditional music, such as "Raglan Road", a massive delight to the packed pub.
The appearance followed the musician declaring that he culturally identifies as Irish, having spent lots of his time here growing up.
We'll take him sure!

Keepin' the dream alive.
Everyone in Ireland leapt out of their seat on November 16 when Troy Parrot scored a terrific hat-trick against Hungary, keeping Ireland's World Cup 2026 dream alive.
The striker's five goals in two games sent the boys in green to the tournament play-offs.
We'll light a candle!

One of the most wholesome sights of the year unfolded on Drury Street when newlyweds Mr and Mrs Carton were spotted walking through the city on their wedding day.
Dressed in their wedding finery and beaming smiles, the couple were met with applause as they walked down one of the city's most popular pint areas.
A heart-warming reminder of love and joy.
No better man!
Charlie from Happy Out bakery in Dún Laoghaire was given the employee excellence award at the Irish Restaurant awards back in May.
The event took place in The Clayton Hotel on Burlington Road, with 1000 guests sitting down for a five course gala dinner cooked the venue’s renowned chef team, with the help of industry apprentices.
Is it really the Toy Show without a couple of celeb guest appearances?
We had Roy Keane, Kingfishr, and video messages from the likes of Lewis Capaldi, but the final shock of the night came when Irish superstar CMAT surprised the choir from Virgin Mary Girls National School in Dublin.
The girls had just finished performing her song Stay For Something when host Patrick Kielty stunned them with a video message from CMAT, who had performed in the 3Arena the same evening.
With smiles and shock beaming across their faces, the choir were left dumbfounded when the woman herself walked out onstage to surprise them.
Their faces were the epitome of wholesome.
