A Huge 90s Rock Band Has Announced A Summer Gig At The Iveagh Gardens

The mid-90s really was a glorious era for the alternative rock genre. The likes of The Cranberries and Alanis Morissette were regularly topping the charts and weekly magazine show TFI Friday was always a good place to catch some great performances.

One band which definitely played its part in the gold age was Garbage, a group fronted by Scottish songstress Shirley Manson. Many of you will remember them for their hits such as Stupid Girl and I Think I'm Paranoid and if you were into them and feel like reliving your fandom you better get yourself to the Iveagh Gardens next summer.

They’ve sold over 17 million albums worldwide to date and performed in more than thirty-five countries, and this summer, @garbage will take to the stage at Dublin's Iveagh Gardens on July 18th.

The band will perform at the city centre venue on Thursday July 18 2019 just ahead of a weekend that will see The Academic and Burt Bacharach take to the same stage.

While Garbage's heyday was clearly back in the 90s, the group has continued to release regular music with their sixth studio album Strange Little Birds released in 2016.
