Everything You Need To Know About LCD Soundsystem In Malahide Castle Tonight

American rock band, LCD Soundsytem, will be taking to the stage tonight at Malahide Castle with Lykke Li and Shit Robot as support acts.

Tickets are still available for the gig - yes, we know it's a school night BUT it's a short week and the weather is good, so that justifies it in our minds.

Here's everything you need to know about the gig just in case you decide the mid-week hangover is worth it.

Spoiler: It's always worth it.

What time?

Music starts from 5pm with LCD Soundsystem due on stage at 9pm. Queuing will not be allowed so concert-goers arriving before 5pm will be turned away.

Transport to Malahide Castle

Traffic delays are expected so your best bet is to get to and from the gig via public transport. Check out the options below.

Dublin Bus: You can get a couple of buses to Malahide including the 32A (From Eden Quay), 102 (From Sutton Sation), 230 (From Airport and Portmarnock).

Dart: Hop on at Connoly, Pearse, Tara Street or Grand Canal Dock and go to Malahide Train Station, the venue is a 10 minute walk from there. Check Irish rail for more info.

Return Journey

The Dart will run a number of trains to the city centre and Dundalk. The times are as follows:

Back to the city centre: 22.40, 22.50, 23:05, 23:20, 23:35, 23:45.

To Dundalk: 23:15, 23:30.

Direct return city centre bus: After the concert there will be a direct bus to George's Quay. The departure area will be clearly marked and tickets will cost €10.

Private minibus and coach: Private hires can park within the grounds of Malahide Castle with access via the Back Road. People planning to hire a bus must register with the event organisers in advance. Email them on enquiries@festivalrepublic.com to register.

The weather

A sunny and dry evening with temperatures around 15 to 20 degrees is expected. Perfect weather for an outdoor gig.

Banned Items

Backpacks and large bags will not be permitted at the gig and small bags (no bigger than A4 (8.27in/21cm × 11.7/ 29.7cm) will be searched before entry.

Don't bring any of the following with you:

Garden furniture, deckchairs, fold up chairs or shooting sticks, umbrellas, selfie sticks, flares/fireworks, laser pens, megaphone/air horns, aerosols, spray cans, glass, drones, Chinese lanterns, sound systems, unofficial tabards/high viz.

Professional cameras with a detachable lens, recording equipment, Go Pro’s are also banned.
