Dublin is set to get a new monthly sustainable flea market.
The gals over at Sustainable Fashion Dublin are bringing a brand-new sustainable flea market to Dublin’s fair city.
Excited much?!

Flea markets have been around for years but the push towards ‘sustainable this’ and ‘sustainable that’ has made them all the more popular as of late.

No complaints though, all aboard the sustainability train!
Hell-bent on showing people just how colourful, fun and expressive sustainable fashion can be, the SFD duo is passionate about shopping sustainably.

Hoping to fill the gap left behind by the Dublin Flea Market events, the new market will kick off on November 16th from 12 noon to 5 pm.
Housed in the Workman’s Club it will be a monthly celebration of sustainable fashion in its entirety – with DJ sets, workshops, panel talks, screenings and cocktails to boot. A full-on party by the sounds of it.
Each month will see small traders showcase their offerings, from pre-loved bits to vintage finds along with local artisan and sustainable vendors.

Ideal for finding unique gifts coming up to Christmas…there’s no avoiding it now may as well embrace the festivities.
The market itself will be free to enter though some of the upcycling workshops will be ticketed. Keep an eye on the Sustainable Fashion Dublin Instagram page for more info closer to the time.
Starting off with a ‘Holey Moley Patchwork Workshop’, Taz and Geraldine will teach attendees how to give their clothes a new lease of life. You’ll learn how to patch up old pieces with “pzazz, colour and style”.
With more and more clothing going to landfill/incineration every day, now is the time to utilise what we already have.

Oans, zwoa, drei, Gsuffa! We absolutely lose it for Oktoberfest in this country. While the event held at the Dublin docklands is yet to make a comeback, we’ll settle for any and all iterations of the celebrations.
