A decent movie and a nice drink really are two of life's simple pleasures. If you're in agreement, then you might be interested in the upcoming series at Guinness Open Gate Brewery.
The venue has teamed up with events company Happenings to bring film fans screenings of three iconic movies over three Thursdays in the coming weeks.
First up will be 1971 classic Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory, not to be confused with 2005's Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, on August 29. This will be followed on September 5 by everyone's favourite rhythmic romance Dirty Dancing before the series wraps up with the Dublin-set Sing Street on September 19.
All three screenings will be accompanied by 'exciting new beers' made at the Open Gate Brewery as well as Cornude Artisan Popcorn, which is produced in Dublin's Liberties, and 'cinema snack’-themed dishes.
Tickets for the events cost €12.80 and include access to one screening and a pint or paddle of choice from the Guinness Open Gate Brewery selection.
