Thankfully, there are tonnes of free things to do in the city that won't interfere with your savings.

1. Dublin Art Book Fair 2018
Where: Temple Bar Gallery & Studios, 5-9 Temple Bar
When: 22nd - 25th November 11am - 6pm.
A yearly tradition between Temple Bar Gallery’s autumn and winter exhibitions, the Dublin Art Book Fair is an opportunity to have a browse of some art, design, illustration, photography books and magazines from all around the world.
2. Circle Sessions @ International Bar
A night of storytelling, music and performance.
3. James Joyce Tower & Museum
Take a stroll through Sandycove and visit the tower where Joyce once stayed as a guest.
4. Kiltipper to Glencullen/Dublin Mountains Way
This challenging walk delves deep into the Dublin mountains and will have you occupied for most of the day.
5. Visit Bull Island
Bull Island is heaven for wildlife lovers and birdwatchers. Head out there for your chance to see some winter visitors like Brent Geese.
6. Stroll Along The Royal Canal
Follow the flow of the water for a moment of quiet reflection and gentle exercise.
Idyllic.
7. Countess Markievicz Exhibition @ National Gallery
When: 27th October–10th February 2019
The exhibition will explore aspects of Markievicz's complex identity through painting, illustration, film and photography.
8. Seamus Heaney 'Listen Now Again' Exhibition @ Bank of Ireland Cultural and Heritage Centre.
When: 6th July - 31st December
Listen Now Again’ focuses on the poetry for which Seamus Heaney is best known, and features original manuscripts, letters, unpublished works, diary entries, and photographs. A number of personal objects, such as the desk at which Seamus Heaney wrote in the family’s attic home in Sandymount; a lamp, which once belonged to WB Yeats; and a portrait by Louis le Brocquy, are included in the exhibition.
9. Silent Disco @ Whelan's
When: Every Monday and Tuesday
When: 11pm.
2 Djs and 2 playlists go head to head every night which makes for some pretty hilarious dancing.
Head along if you're up for a laugh.
10. Deer Spotting @ Phoenix Park
We'd recommend getting up a bit early, just to make sure it's quiet and the deer are less nervous.
Deers + sunrise = gorgeous.
