The ethos of the course is simple: it’s in line with today’s industry and ensures that graduates have the up-to-date knowledge and skills they need to pursue or advance their career in marketing. You’ll learn by examining real-world case studies that discuss current advertising strategies, and you’ll explore marketing theory through academic research.
Core modules include best practice in brand management, services marketing and marketing metrics, as well as digital skills that fully prepare you for online brand/customer engagement.
You’ll have the opportunity to bring your own experience into the classroom while also learning from lecturers who are industry experts. Previous graduates of the programme now work in companies such as Accenture, LinkedIn, An Post, and Salesforce.
There is also a chance to specialise in your preferred area of interest with elective modules, maybe focusing on social media marketing strategies, for example, or pursuing more in-depth studies on 21st-century consumers.
So, are you the right fit?
Well, you will need a 2.2 honours degree that is recognised as level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications and a curiosity for consumer behaviour.
To have all your questions answered, you can head along to NCI’s open evenings over the summer on Wednesday, August 14 from 5pm to 7pm, Saturday, August 24 from 11am to 2pm and Thursday, September 5 from 5pm to 7pm.
