Bored of drinking the same old thing? Then we've got a cocktail that you might be interested in for a change: Aperol Spritz.
A mixture of prosecco, Aperol and soda, this delectable drink is perfect for guys and gals who enjoy cocktails with bitter flavours and low alcohol level.
If you haven't heard of it yet, you're missing out. It's the number one spirit in Italy and it's soaring in popularity in London and Paris, where it's easily spotted in a bustling bar by its distinctive bright orange colour.
The Italian-inspired drink is made of three parts prosecco (75ml), two parts Aperol (50ml), one part soda (25ml). It's quick and easy to make and it always goes down easy.
If you want to try an Aperol Spritz soon, they're running an intriguing competition in Dublin at the moment. They've placed a bunch of orange trees in bars around Dublin — yes, you read that correctly — and you have to find them.
If you spot the orange tree in a bar, simply get a picture of yourself with the tree using the hashtag #AperolSpritzIRL and you'll be in with a chance to win a round of Aperol Spritzes for you and your friends, as well as your very own orange tree!
