11.35am, Easter Monday, 1916
The TRAM drivers may be on strike but it looks like Easter Monday in Dublin is going to be a lot busier than we expected.
We reported earlier on the large demonstration taking place in and around Sackville Street, but we're now getting reports of large groups of Vols – and also Citizen Army – in multiple spots around the city centre.
The latest we have is that large groups of men and women in Uniform at Liberty Hall, Butt Bridge, the Green, Earlsfort Terrace, Four Courts and along the Grand Canal at Boland’s Mills.
They are stopping traffic and turning people away from the city centre. Whatever is happening, it’s big.
We'll keep an eye on this, and update you if anything else happens.
