My taste in music is really shit. I'm just not one of those sorts of people who knows all the up and coming bands or hangs out at gigs. A couple of years ago with the introduction of Spotify and other online streaming services I came up with a brilliant hack which was asking restaurants the name of the playlists they use. See restaurants know that if they play hip music they'll attract the cool young people and drastically improve the image of their venue. I'd go as far as saying music is a good 20% of the overall experience especially for a younger crowd. If you are like me and you listen to music all day in work or if you just want to get transported to your favorite hip restaurant from the comfort of your home then check these epic playlists that some of Dublin's hippest restaurants have shared with us. You too can ooze coolness by slapping these on and playing them for your friends.
where all the cool kids hang out FAATBAAT is a newish spot that serves up epic Asian food. Their tunes are as cool as you would expect from a place like this.
Located over on Aungier Street this laid back brasserie is amazing for a good steak or some nice brunch at the weekends and their laid back relaxing tunes will sooth you no matter how stressed out you are.
JoBurger was a hipster hangout before anybody even knew what the word meant. Their burgers are stacked high and they even have a DJ booth in the Rathmines restaurant. As you would expect their playlist is absolutely banging.

A sister restaurant to Joburger the pizza in here is cheep and cheerful with lots of different toppings but it is the music and the stripped back cool decor that most people come for. Some serious tunage here.

This New York style diner always plays the best tunes and they are usually so loud that you can't hear yourself talk which is great when mixed in with a couple of cocktails. This 4 hour set is one that they often play and which will help you get through your work day.
Nicola our community manager has gone one step further for you guys and put together a master list of all the tunes above and loads of others that restaurants have been sharing with us. It is an absolutely huge list and she will keep adding to it so just slap this on at any time and you will have epic tunes direct from Lovin Dublin.

The problematic portal opened back up on North Earl this week, and although we’re glad to see at least one Dublin project come to fruition (unlike the ones below), it seems everyone is still scratching their heads trying to figure out why exactly we need it.
