Bright orange in colour and packed with zesty citrusy flavours, an Aperol Spritz is the perfect cocktail to celebrate our brand-new Bank Holiday with. This light, low-ABV serve is made extra special due to its aperitif qualities, meaning its unique fusion of herbs and spices will whet your appetite ahead of any light bites or nibbles you're hoping to serve at home this weekend.
And did we mention it's oh-so-simple to make at home? If you're the designated host for this weekend's get-together, a quick and tasty cocktail recipe is key. Thankfully, an Aperol Spritz picks up just as many points for convenience as it does for great taste, made ready to enjoy in minutes using 3 simple ingredients.
Ingredients
Prosecco, Aperol, soda and an orange.
The 3-2-1 recipe
To create the perfect Aperol Spritz at home, follow the simple 3-2-1 recipe of three parts prosecco, 2 parts Aperol and 1 part soda. Fill a large white wine glass with plenty of ice, pour in 75ml of Prosecco followed by 50ml of Aperol, add a splash (25ml of soda), stir, garnish with a slice of orange and enjoy!
