This Is The Only Chocolate Brownie Recipe You’ll Ever Need

These chocolate brownies are so quick and easy to make a child could do it.

They’re super, super chocolatey and go perfectly with some ice cream as a decadent dessert - provided you don't eat the whole batch as soon as they're out of the oven!

Instructions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a square 20cm baking tin with baking paper. Put the butter and chocolate in a bowl and heat over a saucepan with a little water in to melt together, stirring continuously.

Step 2

Leave to cool slightly.

Step 3

Whisk the eggs and sugar together in a separate bowl until it turns pale and thickens slightly.

Step 4

Carefully fold the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture.

Step 5

Sift the flour, cocoa powder and baking powder into the mixture and carefully fold together.

Step 6

Fold the nuts into the mixture.

Step 7

Pour the mixture into the baking tin.

Step 8

Bake for 25 minutes until a crust forms on top. The inside should remain gooey so you can test by inserting a knife. When cooled slightly, remove from the baking tin.

Step 9

To finish, slice into 16 pieces, dust with icing sugar et voila!
