It's not often that Dublin rivals Paris as the City of Love, but this gorgeous tale could take the French capital down a peg or two.
Éadaoin Curtin of Firechild Photography got in touch with us to share a story of romance in the capital, of which she played a part.
She writes about the whole ordeal in meticulous detail on her blog right here, but spoke to Lovin Dublin exclusively, giving us some back story on the incredible moment.
''Bit of background I hadn't mentioned in the blog - they're from Canada and this was their first trip to Europe together.
They had planned to go to Paris but changed their minds and decided to come to Dublin for a couple of days instead. This was the second day of their trip.
Also, when Gyann pulled out the specially made flat wooden box (easier to hide) Lynda thought it was an employee ID from the Titanic museum that they'd been to the day before. Lynda thought she'd stolen it from the display and her first immediate thought was "I love you"! Ha!''
Amazing.
The newly-engaged couple and photographer then spent their evening sipping whiskeys and taking pictures throughout the capital - highlighting just why Dublin could be dubbed one of the most romantic cities in the world.
