Conor McGregor has issued a statement through his legal team after leaving a courtroom in Brooklyn today.
The Dubliner was appearing at Brooklyn Criminal Court in connection with an incident which took place in New York in April. A video emerged online which depicted the MMA star throwing barriers towards a bus at a UFC event.

In the statement outside court a member of McGregor's legal team said on his behalf 'I regret my actions that led to today. I understand the seriousness of this matter and I am hopeful this will get worked out. Thank you everyone.'

McGregor spent two minutes in the courtroom today where the judge said that "plea negotiations are ongoing" and the case has been put back to July 26. He is being charged with three counts of assault and one count of criminal mischief.
More on McGregor : Prosecutor Janet Gleeson told the court "there are plea negotions" ongoing. Case was put back to late July.
