Car Used By Pope Donated To Mater Dei Homeless Hub

The car used by Pope Francis during his visit has been donated to a homeless service in Dublin.

Staff at the Mater Dei homeless hub based in Drumcondra will use the car to help transport families from temporary facilities to long-term accommodation.

According to the Irish Times, Archbishop Diarmuid Martin decided to donate the car to Crosscare, a social care agency which runs the homeless hub.

Conor Hickey, Director of Crosscare said they were delighted with the donation.

Due to the high demand for the homeless hub's services, the car will be in use every day.
