Enjoying a good date with the apple of your eye is one of the nicest experiences ever.
However, a bad date is definitely number one on the excruciating painful list.
Some elements of this you can't control, such as whether your Tinder date actually looks like his picture or if the lovely evening you have planned descends into a row over who put the bills out.
One thing you can control is the location, and this can make a huge difference in setting the tone for the night.
Without further ado, here are our favourite spots for a date in Dublin - whether you're loved up or a single pringle.
"Las Tapas De Lola is a great one for first dates. The staff are so friendly, food is a great talking point and atmosphere is very chilled and easy-going. It totally takes the fear out of going for dinner on a first date, and you can figure out straight away whether your potential other half is a food-sharer or not. Crucial."

"To really impress a date, you should bring them someplace they’ve never heard of, somewhere exclusive — someplace like the Open Gate Brewery.
"This is where Guinness make their more experimental brews and for just a few nights every week, it opens its bar to the public. You have to book in advance in order to get in and the capacity is limited to just 120 people, so you never have to worry that it’ll be too crowded. If you and your date are beer fans, you’re gonna love this place."

If you’re looking to drink as much as possible with minimum expense, then you need to head straight to Drop Dead Twice. Bring your own bottle of spirit and watch as the masters transform it into some of the best cocktails you’ve ever tried.
On the assumption that your date has never been or even heard of the place, they’ll be super impressed at how cool and alternative you are.
