Finding a place to live in Dublin is an absolute nightmare. For starters, looking for the right house is almost impossible and you just know that when you do in fact find your dream home, it'll have more zeros on the end of the price tag than all of the matrix coding.
If you thought that problem was just related to the every day Joe Soap who didn't have all the money that comes with fame, then you're wrong.
Rubberbandits star Blindboy Boatclub says he can't afford to live in the Dublin.
Speaking on Jarlath Regan's podcast, 'An Irishman Abroad', Blindboy was bemused about how his fame and fortune still wasn't enough.
He said living in the capital was not an option for him even though his anonymity means he could live a normal life.
"I still don't have a house. I'm still trying to get a mortgage. But I'm not complaining. I can pay my way, I don't have worries with money," he added.
Blindboy stated that he could earn more money if he parted with his plastic bag but he felt it would have a huge impact on his health.
"I could take the bag off, rock up to RTE and I'm sure they'd give me a job as a presenter and I'd be grand, but I don't know, would I be happy?
"The most important thing to me is my mental health," he concluded.
