Christmas can be a lonely time for a lot of people, especially if you've just moved to a new city, or have lost touch with old friends - finding yourself seriously in need of a new crew for 2018.
While sometimes as an adult it can seem impossible to make mates: your colleagues are boring, and there's no forced-bonding college nights where you make a new BFF over a shot of Apple Sours (that's probs a bonus, actually.)
So, how to make like Taylor Swift and find your very own squad? These fun ideas will get you out of the gaff, chatting to (hopefully) like-minded people and having the most fun you've had in Dublin in yonks.
Girl Crew is a hugely successful online community for women that provides a way to meet new friends and meet up for events like brunches, hikes, workouts, or whatever else your heart desires. There's also a forum for mixed events so the guys aren't left out!
Meetup.com provides a similar concept for both men and women. Want to meet a group of people who love photography, art, movies, or dance? Click a few buttons and go do your thing. Find your hobby soulmates.
Make friends while helping your new community. The Dublin City Volunteer Centre has countless opportunities on their website. Interested in working with children or assisting the elderly? There will be plenty of options for you.
You can meet new friends, all while working on a killer body and feeling those endorphins. If you’re into yoga, you can try YogaHub or Yoga Dublin.
FlyeFit has a ton of options from Body Bootcamp to Boxing. And for something a bit unique, Awesome Walls rock climbing gym hosts a Social Climbing session for climbers of all levels every Tuesday from 5-8pm. It might take a little while, but you just have make the first move and get chatting.

Tag Rugby is particularly excellent for making friends. You can join up here as an individual to lots of existing teams across the city, and although it's competitive there's various leagues so you can take it as seriously as you like.
Bonus? They constantly do weekend trips away across Ireland to play other Tag Rugby teams.
