If You’re Looking For A Super-Healthy Takeaway This January, Saba’s ‘Caveman’ Menu Looks UNREAL

Let's be honest. Cavemen probably didn't eat dishes called Panang Chicken, Primal Green or Char-grilled Sirloin Steak.

In fact, they probably didn't tend to eat much Thai or Vietnamese food at all.

But you know what? In this case, we really don't care for such details – the 'Caveman Festival' at Saba, which runs until the last Friday of this month, has one of the most bloody exciting paleo-friendly menus we've ever seen.

And in January, that's exactly what the doc ordered – even if it's not, perhaps, the cheapest menu you'll ever have cast eyes upon. But isn't that what savings are for?

Given Thai and Vietnamese food is naturally healthy anyhow, this isn't much of a leap. But headed up by awesome exec chef Taweesak Trakoolwattana, the focus is – according to owner Paul Cadden – "tweaking the dishes but not compromising on the taste".

I had a go of the Forager yesterday, which contained Bombay Sapphire (which no self-respecting caveman would ever go without), lime juice, mint, lemongrass, raw honey and chamomile syrup. And holy God, it's excellent.
