Harcourt Street To Get New Boutique Hotel With Large On-Site Coffee Shop

Harcourt Street, once known merely for the vast selection of nightclubs along its red brick stretch, has lately become the trendy spot thanks to hip hotel The Dean.

The party street is about to get another resident, as property developer Paddy McKillen (owner of the aforementioned The Dean) is opening his second hotel, a 23-bed boutique hotel which will be spread over two buildings.

The hotel will be in similar design to The Dean (think trendy lighting, exposed brick and wood), and will have a large coffee shop in the lobby.

It will also offer break-out spaces with "high-spec tech facilities", according to developers, in a hope to provide innovative space for young start-up companies in the city.

While there's been no mention of whether the new hotel will have a rooftop bar to rival its neighbour Sophie's, we have a feeling they won't let people go thirsty.

Work will be carried out by architect company Cathal O’Neill Architects.
