Win A Pair Of Brian O’Driscoll’s Boots With This Competition For A Dublin Charity

Here’s your chance to win an Irish sporting legend’s boots and help support charity.

The footwear in question was worn by BOD himself from Ireland’s famous Rugby World Cup win over Australia.

The competition is being organised by the Solas Project, a charity based in South Inner City Dublin who are dedicated to making an Ireland where all children and young people truly know their self-worth and realise their potential. With the draw, they're hoping to raise €10,000 to fund their mentoring and social development activities.

Graham Jones, Head Gardener (CEO) of the Solas Project said:

One of the first social programmes we ran in Solas Project was a 3 month rugby programme for young men who had recently been released for prison. Inspired by this, Brian O’Driscoll gave us the boots he wore in Ireland’s famous 2011 Rugby World Cup 15-6 win over Australia.

The Solas Project currently has five programmes and they work with young people from six years of age up to 24. One such programme is Compass, an intensive mentoring scheme that helps male offenders aged between 17 and 24 years to make long-lasting transformative changes after release from prison.

The competition will run from Tuesday, October 13 until Thursday, October 22. To enter, and to have a chance to literally walk in the shoes of a legend, simply text “Boots” to 50300. All texts will cost €6.
