VIDEO: This Footage Of Prince’s Last Irish Gig Is Incredible

The world lost a Prince last night, in every sense of the word. 

An astoundingly impressive career that spanned three decades, that included an Oscar, Golden Globe, seven Grammys and a BET Lifetime Achievement Award, 'The Purple One' touched the hearts of millions.

The last time his Irish fans got to see The Artist Formerly Known As Prince on their home turf was on July 30 at Malahide Castle, Dublin.

Blogger Ciarán Collins was one of the lucky ones to see Prince's final concert on The Emerald Isle, even getting the chance to snap a picture of his setlist before he went on. 

Below is the man himself, opening his gig in Malahide with a wonderful version of 'Gold' to a truly awe-struck crowd before continuing with 'Let's Go Crazy', '1999' and 'Little Red Corvette'.

Following 'Raspberry Beret', Prince, supposedly encouraged by the falling of typical Irish rain, and dove straight into his most popular track, 'Purple Rain'.

Turning things slightly funkier, to keep spirits high in the inclement weather no doubt, Prince performs a superb mashup, the way only he can, of 'Play That Funky Music' and a dreamy rendition of ‘Sometimes It Snows In April‘. 

The crowd then fell into silence for his rendition of ‘Nothing Compares 2 U‘, a tune penned by him originally for Sinead O'Connor.

Prince concludes his set with the classics ‘Sign O' the Times‘, ‘Alphabet Street‘, the ethereal ‘When Doves Cry‘, ‘Hot Thing' and 'You Got the Look'.
