If you've ever called your teacher 'mum', sent an inappropriate 'x' at the end of an email, or sent a text to the person you were talking about rather than talking to, you might just have a tiny understanding of this girl's pain...

Twitter user @DeathIsntBlonde shared a screenshot recently of an email her mate had sent to her college lecturer, who thought this was the most politically correct, subtle and generally best way to ask to be excused from the following day's lecture.

And boy, did she nail it...

The poor pupil thankfully hasn't been named and shamed, but we can only imagine that their next lecture was more than a little bit awkward.
