Google has revealed the inner wants and musings of a nation after releasing a list of the top searched for items of the year in Ireland.
To be expected, Dublin persons, events and news stories featured heavily in the top search terms.
Conor McGregor, Bruce Springsteen, Pat Hickey and Dublin Bus all rate highly, but the top spot goes to Euro 2016, confirming that we are still as sport mad as ever.
Following the Euros was Pokemon Go, and David Bowie, who died this January.

President-elect Donald Trump, Brexit, The Olympics, Prince, the US election, Suicide Squad and Ireland vs New Zealand complete the overall top 10 searches.
The US election also dominated with Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders in the top three political searches.
With regards to Irish politics, Googlers used to search engine to check: 'how to register to vote', 'what is a hung dail' and 'what is my constituency?'.
Only three Irish politicians made the top 10 - Joan Burton, Lucinda Creighton and Gerry Adams.

Pat Hickey's arrest at the Rio Olympic games and the Dublin Bus Strike also dominated the top news searches.
The centenary celebrations brought on a wave of questions asking about Irish independence.

The diversity in the top 10 most trending topics of the year show how which political events have dominated the zeitgeist, how celebrities have touched our hearts and how sport continues to unite us.
