Saoirse Ronan is someone who uniquely boasts both the Irish brogue and the American dream.
Born in The Bronx but hailing from County Carlow, Ronan is an only child who is worth her weight in shamrocks, and considering she just made the cover of Time magazine, it would seem the whole world knows it too.
And although now she lives a high-flying life in New York City, she still stops home every once in a while to get a sense of herself, and a pint of Guinness.
Here are twelve times that show just how well she is absolutely slaying the game, yet still managing to be proper sound as a pound.
Ronan absolutely dominated at the 2007 Academy Awards by becoming one of the youngest ever to be nominated for Best Supporting Actress. Losing out to Tilda Swinton, Ronan was just delighted to be considered.
And her strongest memory about the whole thing? "I remember being really hungry".
Mmf.
Saoirse took time out of her busy schedule to proudly act as an active member of the Yes Equality vote for the Marriage Referendum back in May, and to make sure her voice was heard on behalf of a generation.
Ronan was also one of the many thousands who came #HomeToVote on the 22nd. What a trooper.

Ronan auditioned, along with every other tween girl on the Northern Hemisphere at the time, for the role of Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter film series.
She lost out to fellow Irish girl Evanna Lynch and admits to being sorely disappointed in not getting the part at the time – but looking back realises she was too young.
Wasn't too young for an Oscar nod though, was she...
Ronan had been recorded saying: ''Sir-sha, like 'inertia'.''
She goes on to say: ''It's Irish for 'freedom.' I recently found out that my middle name, Úna, means 'unity' in Ireland. And I think my last name means 'seal.' So I’m a free, unified seal."

Saoirse is amazingly pretty down to Earth in general, but when asked about her early childhood years growing up in The Bronx, instead of lamenting money troubles, and recalling times of woe, she kept it real and even cracked a joke.
Good woman.
An avid animal lover, Saoirse took time out from her busy schedule to help out The Irish Blue Cross in their time of need, to try and aid boost their number of participants in the 2009 Flora Women’s Mini Marathon.
She is still in touch with The Irish Blue Cross, as it was them who reunited Ronan with her collie dog, Sassie.
Time and time again, Saoirse manages to convince us all that she has no 'celebrity status' or that her new film is 'nothing really'. It's remarkable.
But what is truly remarkable is her practical and realistic point of view for someone so young. An Oscar nominee in her early teens, we see a big future for this one.

There's our gal Saoirse, schooling everyone in the States on sing-alongs in the pub and drinking with the pub owner during a lock-in.
Jimmy seemed a bit weirded out that someone would lock you into a pub, but thankfully Saoirse was there to set the record straight about Irish culture once again.
Crowds were left hanging for Ronan as they clapped at an empty stage at the 22nd Annual SAG Awards, with Ronan being so wrapped up in watching a Straight Outta Compton clip that she missed her cue entirely.
But when she emerged on stage and made a joke of it (sounding particularly Oirish), she warmed the cold, cold hearts of the Hollywood elite.
In this video for The Scene on Vanity Fair, where a selection of Hollywood women showcased their hidden talents for the camera, the Oscar-nominated legend picked something very special indeed: making the perfect cup of tea.
And while she forgets to scald the teapot – eek – she does helpfully remind American audiences that "you don't actually use the kettle to make the tea".
Oh Saoirse, stop making us love you so much.
