If you've clicked on this, you're seriously considering sneaking out of work a little bit early so you can enjoy the hottest day of the year. And we don't blame you.
We've put together a list of potential excuses you could use to leave early, but of course we don't expect any of you would actually use any of them – you're far too dedicated to your job for that carry on.
Still, there's no harm in having a look...
Ugh, your landlord is so inconsiderate, arranging to meet you about an hour before you finish work to discuss... something important. And it just can't be rescheduled... for some reason.
Hey, you don't wanna leave early either, but it can't be helped.
Damn, you completely forgot you had a dentist appointment this afternoon! You would've told the boss earlier but, of course, it had completely slipped your mind.
You'd better hurry!
Ah crap, you have this thing that's being dropped at your house. Delivery guy's gonna be at your house soon and it's actually really important.
"Would you believe, I'm getting enough coal delivered to last me until spring. Seriously though, would you believe that?"
You feckin' knew that chicken you had at lunch was off. Look, your boss doesn't even wanna know what's going on in your intestines right now, you'd better just do everyone a favour and go home pronto.
Oh no! The neighbours just called, the alarm's after going off. If maybe there's smoke coming from the kitchen. Better check it out!
Sounds serious, but you're pretty sure this incident will never be spoken of again.

Look it's quite personal actually and you don't want to go into it, but suffice it to say you're going to need to leave the office about an hour early today. Maybe two.
