You've probably passed Trinity City Hotel dozens of times, but have you ever stepped inside its doors? If not, then you might want to stick it on your to-do list.
If you live in Dublin you may never have found an excuse to step through the front doors of the Pearse Street building, but its got a charm that makes it worth exploring.
We were invited to try it out recently and got a feel for the place. Made up of an Georgian buildings, a former fire station and a central courtyard garden, the four star hotel's interior has a pretty distinctive look.
If you're stopping in for a drink, you've got The Brunswick Bar, with its ornate mirrors and high leather chairs, or The Front Lounge, where you can sink into sofas, sipping cocktails while people watching through those panoramic windows.
It's also worth keeping in mind should you be on the look out for a new dining experience (like we always are).
At their Courtyard Restaurant you'll find a menu boasting the likes of wood smoked BBQ salmon pâté, risotto of natural dyed smoked haddock, and slow cook pork belly with black pudding & apple croquettes.

Since this is Lovin Dublin we're legally obliged to tell you about the brunch options. Trinity City Hotel hold brunch every Sunday from 1pm until 4pm, which offers the likes of cinnamon pancakes, Eggs Benedict, golden fried fishcakes and a host of cocktails (check out the full menu here).
We were particularly intrigued by the hotel's courtyard garden, where customers can lounge in rattan chairs on a patch of green in a little enclosed oasis.
One to keep in mind for a day where you fancy a few drinks in the sunshine.
Of course, a hotel's all about those bedrooms and ours was a dream. Spacious, well-decorated and all-round luxurious (there were prosecco and chocolates waiting for us upon arrival), you wouldn't have much trouble making yourself comfortable in this joint.
