The run up to this year's General Election has given us plenty of classic moments, moments such as this.

An Election Special took place on RTÉ2 last night, allowing candidates to discuss issues in a more civilised environment than previous debates.

In fact, it was too civilised, so somebody must've thought it needed a bit of drama. Cue Leo Varadkar getting whacked on the head by a low-hanging mic.
