Dr Norah Patten will be at Explorium in Sandyford this Saturday for the launch of her new children’s book Shooting For The Stars.
Set to become Ireland’s first astronaut, Norah is an aeronautical engineer, a faculty member at the International Space University and a citizen scientist-astronaut candidate with Project PoSSUM (Polar Suborbital Science in the Upper Mesosphere).
And now a published children’s author, so in other words – one talented lady.

Shooting For The Stars is all about space and becoming an astronaut, but it’s also about following your dreams and thinking big. The story follows Norah as it teaches kids about the wonders of space travel, astronaut training and life above the clouds.
