There's a lot of talk about the homeless situation in Dublin at the moment but one local business has decided that it's “high time we got off our bar stools and did something about it”.
Sober Lane in Dublin 4 has just launched a new campaign and is asking customers to leave their home comforts behind and take to the streets in order to raise much-needed funds.
The Sleep Out for Focus Ireland will
take place on October 10, and aims to increase awareness
by having members of the public experience what it's truly like to
sleep on the streets for a night – so there'll be no outdoor
heaters or electricity involved.

The sleep out will take place in Cork and Dublin from 8am to 8pm, with the Dublin event being held at Clanna Gael Fontenoy in Ringsend.
All participants are asked to raise €100 for Focus Ireland's homeless services and will be rewarded for their efforts with a brunch at Sober Lane when the sleep-out finishes on Sunday morning.
Both bars will be competing to see which county can rustle up the most support so do your bit by signing up here.
