This Is 100% The Best Sushi In The Whole Of Dublin

Japanese cuisine in general, and sushi in particular, have absolutely blown up in Dublin over the past few years. 

Once upon a time, not too long ago, we wouldn't have been able to tell you the difference between miso and wasabi, but now you can curb your tempura fix pretty much anywhere you go in the capital, as well as smaller sushi fortresses in participating county towns. 

Bloody hell, even corner shops sell California rolls these days.

And while some of you have already signed, sealed and delivered your thoughts on sushi to the Grand Notions Hotel, we're here to stand firm in our rebuttal, and disagree completely. 

It's filling. It's healthy. It's cheap. It comes in handy bite-size amounts. It caters to every palate. And it's finally taught all of us how to use chopsticks, without lowering us to toddler-like dexterity. 

Now, we need to bear in mind that sushi, like anything, can be done so, so poorly. So don't knock it until you try the good stuff.

Behold, Musashi.

The oriental food haunt that has our heart. 

And, with branches in Capel Street, IFSC, Sandyford, Hogan Place and a rumoured new abode on Parnell Street – you're never too far from grasping your sashimi fix with both chopsticks. 

My personal favourite is the Capel Street branch, maybe cause it offers BYOB. But, who am I to judge?

The staff in each place are deadly, very chilled and massively obliging. 

And, if you're lucky enough to work near one, and can afford to leg it in the Musashian direction on your lunch break (or get a taxi to and from, it's that good), then you get to avail of their MASSIVE lunch specials – all priced at under €10. 

And that's just for lunch...

Their dinner specials, priced anywhere between €10 – under €20, provide enough food to fill a (small) warehouse, or a big tummy. So, for those of you who aren't opting for sushi on the premise that it wouldn't fill you, we're here to tell you to banish those thoughts from your minds.

We've tested. 

And we wouldn't lie to you. 

The freshness of the food is Musashi's raison d'etre. As specified on its website (yes, you can order in – welcome to the perfect Friday evening) their food is 'made fresh by order and never leftover from the previous hour'. 

Meaning it's light, it's delicious and absolutely the best sushi Dubliners can presently get their hands on. Just try it, you won't regret it...
